The international FRESCO project (“Foraminiferal Research Consortium”), funded by the Pays de la Loire Region for 3 years, as part of its "International Strategy 2015" project, and managed by UMR CNRS 6112 LPG–BIAF (Angers University), officially started on the 1st of October 2015.

FRESCO concerns research focusing on the "Role of foraminifera in coastal ecosystems ". Thereby, FRESCO aims to increase the understanding of the quality of coastal environments, and to contribute to their management. In fact, this project will develop and organize an international research network on benthic foraminifera and enhance connections between all initial and future partners.
